Champion Trucks Company started its manufacturing or trucks and tractors from 1875. The first model to be made by the company was the Steel Champion Grader, was a horse driven machine made out of total steel in the 1895.
Copp Brothers acquired a company and owned selling rights in Canada. The Copp Brother Company was brought by another company and the company name was changed to Good Road Machinery Company. In 1909 the original American company took the control of the Champion Trucks and named the company to American Road Machinery Company of Canada Ltd.
During the great American depression in 1920, the truck company was made apart and now was known as The Dominion Road Machinery Company.
