Brown Truck – Overview
Brown Truck is a name that relates to Brown Cargo Van, Inc. the Brown Cargo Van was the first company to manufacture van bodies. The company was founded in 1946, this was the time when the company was known as Brown Trailers Inc. the first Brown truck body was manufactured from parts of trailers and the out come was a book mobile vehicle for the city of Spokane. This piece was the first freight cargo van that was made using aluminum.
Soon the company became popular and was expanded nation wide. Later the company was sold off to Clark Equipment Company. The new company sold cargo van bodies till 1975 and then the business was sold to Ashton Richards Company.
For next 30 years the company was known to manufacture and distribute its products in Kansas City. The Brown Trailers was changed to Brown [...]
